I’m no stranger to volunteer work! I have help build homes for Habitat for Humanity, assisting in construction, restoration and painting of low income homes.

I have worked with the Hawaii park restoration efforts to assist in maintaining ancient cultural fishing ponds and tidepools, by laying stones or removing invasive weeds from marshes.

While living in Hawaii I also helped organization of the 808-ShredNational Skateboard tournament, which focused on youth outdoor involvement in sports. When we weren’t hosting events as a group we would remove graffiti from skateparks or popular skate spots and restore them to their original condition.

Finally I was a long term volunteer at Last Chance Ranch, an animal rescue group that saved and rehabilitated old or abused animals. Although we focused on horses and dogs during my time there we rescue and rehabbed several goats, pigs, emus, and cats.
